Sarah Palin's Leadership Promise

Not enough attention has been paid to John McCain's rationale behind the choice of Sarah Palin as a running mate. Clearly he envisions an important leadership role for the athletic young frontierswoman whose vivacious energy adds spark and vigor to his lethargic leadership.

Finally, I understand. Thanks for the illumination.

Let's be clear on the issue of involving the candidate's families. If both sides agree that Governor Palin's daughter who is pregnant ought not to be a campaign issue, then out of respect for this same policy, Governor Palin must not insist on bolstering McCain's Iraq policy by mentioning that her son is set to deploy to Iraq. He is clearly being used to show Palin's strength and committment towards Iraq.

If the McCain camp feels as though they can get away with this hypocracy, than Obama's team should also be able to mention the lack of family values and strong conservative ideals from the Republican candidates (i.e. divorce and a child out of wedlock). If everything is fair game, than therein lies the truth of the matter. Otherwise, I don't want to hear anymore about social conservatism from the Christian right.
